Recorded between 2019 and 2023 this is the sixth release in a series of ambient, drone, devotional works. The pace on this album runs from glacial to…considered. It doesn't require active listening but it's not entirely passive either. And I probably wouldn't listen to it while driving or operating heavy machinery.

The first track, 20191227, was recorded in a single session on a Yamaha EW-20 with live loops. I had forgotten about it entirely but it stood out when I was digging into where I left off around my last release.

20220525 - Working vocal formants into a Moog Subharmonicon. My notes for this track don't make sense, but maybe that's for the best. While I've been thinking about vocal formants for a while, this one may end up being a launching pad for more.

20220628 - I got a monochord in the summer of 2022 as a way to bring some physical resonance into my home studio (aka a corner of our living room). On a whim halfway through recording this track I decided to switch to a drone with the Subharmonicon. I hadn't realized those two could be friends but I think they did great.

20230117 is maybe the most "musical" song on this album. It is deeply devotional, and features the magical Hydrasynth engaged in some heavy frippertronics. It is also indebted to the work of Randall McClellan, specifically The Healing Music of Rana.
