August 6, 2011 Man Bartlett

4am Gamelatron? Don’t mind if I do. Just read “it” will be performing in DUMBO this Thursday. The man behind it smells a bit too Gambit for my taste, but I’ll be damned if he hasn’t made something pretty awesome.

Exhuming: Gamelatron Thank You Concert and a Big Brooklyn Send off to the Temple

The Gamelatron will perform a concert for 75 guests at a private loft in Dumbo. This is only the third concert composer Taylor Kuffner (Zemi17) has performed this year in New York City. It is the last showing of the Gamelatron before it leaves Brooklyn to be the Soul of the Temple at Burningman, installed in its full grandeur in the center temple in the Black Rock Desert for a 160 continuous hour long serenade.

The concert will feature new compositions inspired by the balinese rite of passage, a story by poet Agent mT, a Balinese blessing dance by Ali Luminescent and some of the new robotic gongs that will be featured in the Temple installation.
