Mike Daisy Audience Protest, 2007 (audio NSFW).

Yesterday I found this video buried deep in my YouTube favorites. There’s something so fascinating and human about his response from the time the audience starts to walk out. A train wreck embraced and ultimately redeemed. And a healthy amount of burly WTF from him. As a former theatre person I have such sympathy for this nightmare scenario, and can pretty much guarantee I would not have handled it as well.

Then I was listening to The Moth today and the story happened to be another (great) piece by Mike Daisy. So, I guess it’s Mike Daisy week! Oh, and if you missed it, it’s print week as well.
